De Koninck Brewery is a Belgian brewery located in beautiful Antwerp. De Koninck presents here the Wild Jo, a Belgian Sour / Wild Ale that owes its name to the wild yeasts used during brewing and to Joseph Van de Bogaert, the man who breathed new life into the brewery after the first world war. In the glass, this beer has a beautiful golden-yellow color that is dominated by an abundant white head. The smells that come to mind are reminiscent of the countryside. We also taste lemon zest, straw, flowers and wild yeast. On the palate this Sour Ale is slightly crunchy with a pleasant floral presence and a character of plants and herbs, wild yeast, citrus fruits, lemon and peach. In the aftertaste we finally taste a nice balance between bitterness and sourness.
